60 Day Notice!!

Well progress is always a good thing and that is what we are doing...making progress. Last Tuesday (7/29) we had the blown in foam insulation done in the house, and it's amazing what a difference it has made already. I went and visited Clint at the house that day to see what all of the commotion was about. They basically had a huge hose hooked up to some barrels in a truck and they blew out this wet "foamy stuff" (technical term) and then it expanded to fill in all of the nooks and crannies throughout the house. Some times I think the ceiling looks like a cave with all of the stalagmite crystals (you know those caves that everyone always visits on your family vacations when you are young, at the time they seemed SO cool, but in hindsight maybe not so much)...but none the less, the house should be cool (as in temp and awesomeness!)! We are hoping to lower our electric bills in the midst of it all....expanding foam=shrinking utility bills, at least that is what we are hoping!

I mentioned in the last post that getting the insulation in was a pretty big milestone, as it means we are closer and closer to drywall and flooring! The A/C is supposed to be in by this Friday, which will be a huge help to Clint...this 105+ weather does not make for the best of working conditions...but he has been pushing through! It may begin to actually look like a home soon! Not that I am anxious or anything, but I did turn in our 60 day notice to the apartment complex...so September 30, like it or not, finished or construction zone...we are movin'!
