It's my party and I"ll be cute if I want to!

It happened! Our little girl turned one. It's hard to believe. It's funny everyone says "enjoy the first year...it goes so fast." And it has gone fast...one part of me can't believe she is a year old however the other part of me almost doesn't remember life before Trinity. :-)

When she woke up on her birthday morning and I went into her room as usual, she was so happy. Of course I sang happy birthday to her as I changed her diaper and she smiled and clapped the whole time. The girl new this was her special day!

Well we had a little "shin-dig" for our one-year-old the day after her birthday! Gotta party in style. It was hot pink and zebra print themed! perfect for a one year old! haha. We had family over, ate cake, and of course opened some fun new gifts! However Trinity decided the day of her Birthday Party that naps were "not cool" anymore. She stayed up the entire day! That is until 4:00pm, when everyone arrived for the party. haha! She decided to get really cranky and thus, fall asleep. The first hour of Trinity's party she slept! What a memory!

Happy 1st Birthday Trinity Grace Wright!
We love you!

We have our favorites, I am sure you can choose yours too!

Countdown Until One!

Wow...what a year! A lot has happened with the Wright family in the past year. Let's see we...

-had a baby girl
-began the adventure of parenthood
-sold our house
-moved into an apartment
-moved out of an apartment
-rebuilt our new house (still in progress!)
-moved into our new "live-able" house
...and now....
In less than two weeks, our baby girl turns one!!
It's hard to believe that Trinity is going to be one years old!The past year has flown by! Everyone always tells you to "cherish each moment" and I believe and hope that we have. We have so many fun memories of the last year with her that it's almost overwhelming. We can hardly wait to create more exciing memories as a family.
She is looking more and more like her daddy as she is getting older, and although we are still biased, we believe she is so "stinkin' cute!" She loves to bounce, crawl everywhere, "sing" and is pull up on everything. She loves to say "dada"...but hasn't quite mastered "mama". (go figure! ) I just said the other day to someone at work, "she is no longer my baby, but becoming my little girl!" It's crazy. Clint and I have learned so much in the last twelve months about babies, sleep deprevation, formula, runny noses, sleep schedules, napping, bottles, crawling, grasping, feeding, crusing, giggling,loving...and so much more! I know we still have so much left to learn about being parents, but if there is one thing we have learned its that Trinity is truly a gift and our lives will never be the same!
We love her so much!

Lovin' the pig tails!

Happy as ever!

...whew...what a year!

Meet the Sleepy Giggle Monster

So Trinity is a pretty good sleeper. She is like her mommy and daddy in that regard...we are a family that thoroughly enjoys our sleep! She naps about twice a day and gets a good 12 hours of sleep per night.....or should I say most nights. About once a week my "sleeper" of a daughter goes away and we get this little giggle monster in return. She gets tired and she gets goofy (poor thing gets that from her momma)! Although I should be putting her back to bed, I can't resist...I have to chime in and laugh with her! Oh the moments we'll look back on.

"It's a comin'!"

"IT'S A COMIN'!"...

That seems to be the new, most often used phrase around here..especially when we are discussing the house progress....and that phrase sums it all up pretty good. :-) We are down to DAYS until move in...we are so excited! and SO very ready to be out of this apartment (a.k.a "the box") It's been good while it lasted, but it's time to move on!

The floors were finished this week. Clint worked on the detailed trim and bathroom tile all weekend long. He also put in the new front door! We had family helping all weekend long (thank you Mimi, Papa, Steph, Dustin, Nate & Natalie!) as we get closer and closer to move in day. The kitchen cabinets were installed on Monday (the will be painted soon!) and I went last night to get some paint samples....that is the project of the weekend!

We are officially ready to move . Now mind you, the house is not, and will not be finished. But it will be "livable"...that that is just fine with us! We will live in the guest bedroom while the master bedroom/bath is being finished. (been there, done that!) It's going to be beautiful and we are so thankful for it all. It's hard to believe a little over 3 months ago it was nothing but a "shell." Clint has worked so hard...and it has paid off! (however we have discussed a WELL DESERVED vacation soon!) God has been and IS so good!

Enjoy the pics!

Dedication Day.

Today, Clint, Trinity and I were part of a ceremony at our church called Parent Dedication. This was a special day where Clint and I commited ourselves, as parents, to raise Trinity in Christ's love. We commited to raise her in a Christ centered home, where His love and grace are evident with hopes that she will find His unbounding grace. We know we can't do this on our own and will need His guidance and wisdom daily.

We can't wait for the day when Trinity will come to know Christ's love and have His hope and joy fill her life!

We ask that you, our family and friends, continue to hold us in your prayers as we continue upon this crazy adventure called "parenthood."

Jeremiah 29:11 "For I know the plans I have for you declares the Lord. Plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future."

What a blessing she is to us!

Giving Uncle Adam a smile!

Krone's pretty good with her...can't you tell?

Daddy Style!

Sunday's are usually "daddy days" around the Wright House (apartment for the moment). What I mean by that is that Clint usually lets me get a few extra minutes of "beauty sleep" and he gets up with Trinity, gets her breakfast and dressed. What a great dad he is! This morning, he got up with her and changed her diaper, got her out of bed and fed her breakfast. And yes he did it "daddy style!" I walked into the living room and this is what I saw....it made me laugh and created a fun and wonderful memory I thought I would share
Daddy Style Tip #1: Who needs a bow to keep your pretty hair out of your face, when you can just keep your pajama top on the top of your head...hey it gets the job done doesn't it?
Daddy Style Tip #2: Who needs a bib to keep your clothes clean while you eat when can just go naked?
Daddy Style Tip #3: Who needs a pillow or anyone cuddling me while I drink my milk? I am just fine on the sofa myself!
Daddy Style Tip #4: What is the point of putting clothes on when you can just rock the ballet slipper socks all day long!
I loved it! He is the best daddy a little girl could ask for (not to mention a wonderful husband as well!)

I had to include this pic because the one above reminded me of it...just a mere 9 months ago this was our little Trinity on the same couch! Crazy how a few months changes things! She is such a big girl now!

Silly Girl!

Here are a couple of fun videos of Trinity that I thought I would share. She is getting so big so fast and we are loving every second of it! She is crawling EVERYWHERE!
( I apologize ahead of time for the "videography".....if you get motion sickness easily...watch out!)

If Walls Could Talk...

If the walls really could talk...I think ours would be singing HALLELUJAH! Because they officially have sheet rock! Our shell of a house is officially becoming a home. We are down to the countdown phase as we have only 4 weeks before we move in. The walls have been sheet rocked, taped, textured and primed. Our wood floors have also been installed throughout the entire house, except bathrooms, (not in the pictures yet...) and will be hand scraped and stained next week! Clint is working on the "guest bathroom" right now and is busy putting in the tub and tiling! We are getting so excited! However now it's also down to decision making time...I have to begin picking out colors and getting the details together. I tend to "stress" about this part a little, but it'll all come together I am sure! Apartment life is nearing an end and we are excited!
