Great Day for the Zoo

One of the things I wanted to do with Trinity over spring break was take her on her first trip to the zoo. So we made plans for Tuesday. The sun was shining (supposed to be around 80), so we packed our bags, had plenty of water and snacks, picked up Mimi (Clint's mom), picked up Nate and Natalie (cousins) and off to the zoo we went. However...what we discovered was our idea wasn't so unique. I think everyone in the DFW area who had any small children at all had also decided that it was a "GREAT DAY FOR THE FORT WORTH ZOO!"

It was packed!! However we made the best of it anyway. We pushed through the crowds to see the monkeys, the elepahnts, the penguins, and so much more!
Trinity did pretty well. I honestly don't know if she even realized there were animals around. half the time. She had a good time, but could have cared less about the "zoo" part. I think her favorite "animal" were the goldfish (yeah the cracker kind.... that you eat! haha)
We stopped at the petting zoo and she did pet the rooster! There were sheep and goat as well, but I couldn't get her to stop for those she just wanted to walk everywhere, by herself of course.
Nate and Natalie were a huge help! I am so glad they got to enjoy the day with us. This was a little spot before we went into the penguins that was like a giant sandbox and it had a painted "aquariam" all around it...Trinity loved it!
Of course she had to touch everything! Funny, she didn't call everything a "puppy" as I had predicted, but she did wave at every animal possible and was sure to tell them all "hiiiii" about a hundred times. She was definately the friendliest "zoo-er" there!
Trinity and Mimi looking at the elepahants which was our last stop before we headed home!
Momma and Trinity after the long hot day at the zoo! We had a great time! I would say overall we had a very successful first trip to the zoo! Maybe next time we'll try to go when the entire rest of the world isn't there! haha.

Spring Break 2009--woo! hoo!

What a great invention. S-P-R-I-N-G B-R-E-A-K!!! It really is wonderful! I am loving this week already and it's only day one! (but I am sure it will quickly pass by so I am trying to enjoy every moment.) It's a sunny 75 degrees outside, I have been hanging out at home with Trinity all day...it doesn't get any better than this. I have been trying to get our house somewhat organized so I can post some good pics of the master bedroom and the new "office". Hopefully by the end of the week I'll have some of those pics up. We officially moved into the master bedroom about 3 weeks ago and Clint has been working on they yard and the desk for the office. I am such a dork. I am looking forward to organizing the office and my kitchen this week. I know lame. But hey I enjoy it!

I think Trinity and I are going to go to the zoo tomorrow. I am excited to take her. She'll love the animals and probably call them all "puppy", as anything with 4 legs tends to get that name. Except Ace (our dog) he actually gets "hiiiiiii-A" everytime she is around him. She is getting so fun! Her little personality has really been shining through and she is really silly (of course from her dad!) and also little miss independent (can't imagine who she gets that from!). She loves magazines. Go figure. She has a room full of toys, but she would rather carry a magazine around the house for hours. She loves them! So funny. She will sit on the floor or lay on the floor and "read" them...it's so cute! She is running everywhere now and figuring everything out. She loves to turn the light switch on and off! haha. Oh the little things of life.

Oh how I love those baby blues! (yes those are two lower teeth you see there...we officially have 4 teeth! She looks like a hillbilly! haha)

These boots are made for walkin'....sassy lil thing!

Helping daddy finish the trimwork on the masterbedroom....someday soon I am sure she'll be the best helper!

She'll hate me someday for posting pics like this...but how can you resist!!

(I think she is need of her first haircut!)

She loves to read the "bargain" adds....she gets that from her Grandma!!

haha. (love you mom!)

Her new "pose" for the camera!
We might have to teach her to keep her eyes open next time. :-)

Dare devil little girl...running to Papa from the back of Daddy's Truck. (I love this pic of her!)
